What these website speed tools are for
Speed is a Google ranking signal through Core Web Vitals, and every extra second of loading loses visitors. These tools measure each part of it: how fast the page loads and becomes usable, how quickly your server answers around the world, and whether it compresses what it sends.
Use the speed test for the overall picture, the Core Web Vitals checker for the numbers Google actually ranks on, the TTFB test to find a slow server or a missing CDN, and the Brotli / HTTP/3 checker to confirm your hosting is set up properly.

- What is a good website speed?
- Google's thresholds: LCP under 2.5 seconds, INP under 200 ms and CLS under 0.1, for at least 75% of visits. Time to first byte should be under 800 ms.
- Why is my score different every time I test?
- A lab test loads the page once, and network, server load and caching vary between runs. Test two or three times and look at the trend, not one number.
- Does website speed affect SEO?
- Yes. Core Web Vitals are part of Google's page experience signals, and slow pages also lose visitors before they read anything.
