About the Free SEO Checker

Enter any public page and this runs the on-page checks an SEO audit starts with: title and meta description length, headings, image alt text, canonical and robots tags, HTTPS, mobile viewport, Open Graph tags, schema markup, word count and internal links. Each result says what is wrong and why it matters, and the score is simply how many checks passed. The page is fetched and parsed on our server, because a browser is not allowed to read another site's HTML.

Frequently asked questions

Is this SEO checker really free?+

Yes - no sign-up, no email, no limits beyond a fair-use cap of about a dozen checks every few minutes so the fetcher is not abused.

What does the score mean?+

It is the share of checks that passed, with a half mark for a warning. It is a quick read on on-page health, not a ranking prediction - no tool can promise that.

Does it check my whole site?+

No, one page at a time. Run it on your home page and your most important landing pages; most on-page problems repeat across a template, so fixing one usually fixes many.

Why does it not show page speed?+

Speed needs real-user data to mean anything. Use PageSpeed Insights for that, and read our Core Web Vitals guide for what to do with the numbers.

Can I check a page that is behind a login?+

No. Only pages a search engine could fetch anonymously can be checked, which is also the only fair test of how Google sees them.
