The redesign risk nobody mentions
A redesign is the single most common way a business loses its Google traffic. New URLs go live, the old ones return 404, and every page Google had ranked disappears from search over the following weeks. The new site looks better and gets fewer enquiries.

What I do with it
A modern, faster website that keeps the Google traffic the old one earned - because every old URL is mapped and redirected, not forgotten.
- An audit of the current site
- A URL map from every old page to its new home, agreed before anything is built
- The new design, mobile-first and built for speed and enquiries rather than for the portfolio
- Content carried over and improved, not lost in the move
- Launch with 301 redirects, a new sitemap submitted to Google and Search Console watched for errors

The redesign risk nobody mentions
A redesign is the single most common way a business loses its Google traffic. New URLs go live, the old ones return 404, and every page Google had ranked disappears from search over the following weeks. The new site looks better and gets fewer enquiries.
It is entirely avoidable. Every URL the old site had is listed, mapped to its new equivalent and redirected permanently, and the sitemap, Search Console and internal links are updated on launch day.
How a redesign runs
- An audit of the current site: which pages get traffic and enquiries, what is slow, what is broken.
- A URL map from every old page to its new home, agreed before anything is built.
- The new design, mobile-first and built for speed and enquiries rather than for the portfolio.
- Content carried over and improved, not lost in the move.
- Launch with 301 redirects, a new sitemap submitted to Google and Search Console watched for errors.
When a redesign is the wrong answer
Sometimes the site does not need replacing - it needs speeding up, a clearer call to action or a few new pages. The audit says which, and if a smaller fix will do the job, that is what I will quote.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to common questions about website redesign.
Will I lose my Google rankings if I redesign?+
Not if every old URL is redirected to its new equivalent and the content is carried over. Rankings are lost when old URLs start returning 404 - which is exactly what the URL map and 301 redirects prevent.
How much does a website redesign cost?+
It depends on the number of pages, how much content moves, and any new features. You get a fixed, itemised quote after a free look at the current site.
Can you redesign a WordPress site?+
Yes - either keeping it on WordPress or moving it to a faster custom build. The audit compares both honestly for your situation.
How long does a redesign take?+
Most small-business redesigns take two to four weeks, depending on size and how quickly content and feedback come back. The old site stays live until the new one is ready.
